                Processes and Procedures

 Upon the receipt of an application,the relationship officer will guide you on the relevant documents and steps including signing of the offer letter detailing the scope of engagement and the terms and conditions specific to the nature of the transaction.

For the Nyumba Smart application, upon signing of the mortgage application form, we do take you on the following simple steps:


Step 1 :  

We access your financial ability so as to determine on the maximum mortgage obligation;

Step 2 :   

After assessing on the mortgage, you are then required to select on the housing prototype of your choice i.e. either you need to build a Massionettes or a bungalow;

Step 3 :   

An architect is assigned to you, we have an in-house technical team which carries designing and costing on behalf of our customers, this helps in reducing the overall pre-implementation costs as well as improving on delivery speed;

Step 4 :  

After settling on the prototype, the architect will take you through the selection of the interior finishes of your choice-This is in line with our mandate of helping our customers realize of their investment dreams;

Step 5 :  

Site visit- We do conduct site visit so that the architect and the technical team can align your preferred development with the site specific. Also, this enables the Quantity Surveyor in arriving at the Bills of Quantities;

Step 6 : 

We lodge the drawings for approval on behalf of our customers and as well we lodge the financial documents with our financiers for loan processing;

Step 7 : 

We carry out the site handover to our pre-qualified competent contractors while we carry out the project management on your behalf;

Step 8 : 

We provide weekly and monthly progress reports to the financier and to the owner during the implementation cycle until the house is fully complete and ready for occupation;

Step 9 : 

We apply for water and electricity on your behalf.

Step 10 : 

Landscaping & ready for occupation. We give you the keys to your new home to start living. You start paying the principal loan amount after your house is complete and after issuing you with the occupation certificate and keys to your new palace
